7wings asked: Can you share your french onion soup recipe? It looks delicious!
I am no cooking expert. Especially when it comes to soups. I tried looking for the recipe I used but I couldn’t find it. I used the simplest recipe I found online. This is what I remember on the top of my head.
Ingredients
onion
garlic
olive oil
chicken broth
salt and pepper
bay leaves
basil
oregano
baguette bread
cheese
Chop onion and sautee in olive oil at a low heat and add in minced garlic and cook till the onion turns into a nice golden color. Add in the chicken broth, bay leave, oregano, basil, salt and pepper( thats all the condiments I have at home haha) to your taste and boil for 20 minutes. Take the bay leave out, pour into a bowl. Add in pieces of baguette bread and cheese and broil in the oven at 180 celsius for about…10 minutes? I used mozzarella cheese but I think swiss with a bit of fresh parmesan would be a better option.
That was my amateur french onion soup recipe. Good luck and let me know how it turns out!!!
